We founded the Little Lion Challenge after we brought our son, Brennan, home from the hospital in 2013. Brennan was born with a rare birth defect that required 111 days in a neonatal intensive care unit, several surgeries, and a tracheostomy. During that time, it was the little roars — small progresses he made each day and the small acts of kindness — that made all the difference to our family. As a way of saying thanks to all of those who helped us, we established the Little Lion Challenge. We believe that small acts of kindness make a big ROAR.

Thank you for your interest in the challenge! We would love to have you join the pride and help us, one act of good at a time. Please sign up for our mailing list, attend a family event, connect with us on Facebook, and drop us an email and let us know your thoughts!

Our Goals

To provide comfort and “a little bit of kindness” to families who have children in critical care situation or those with children who have complex medical needs.

To support those in the medical community providing care for these children and their families

To inspire others, especially children, to do their own small acts of kindness.

Current Project

Right now, our attention is devoted to our 4th Little Lion Challenge Day efforts on February 11, 2017, which also happens to be Brennan’s third birthday. We will be providing  care packages to NICU families and patients at Greater Baltimore area hospitals and surprising other families/organization based on community-generated project ideas. Have an idea for a Little Lion Challenge Day project? Tell us about it!
